Upcycled bags are the way to go for a clean and sustainable environment. We at Karuna Dawn are proud to say that our Upcycled Denim Bags have saved thousands of litres of water alone. And we’re proud to offer three functional designs of these upcycled bags that will definitely fit your lifestyle: Denim Sling Bag, Denim Tote Bag, and Denim Bento Bag.

Our upcycled bags are made of 100% upcycled denim, all sourced by our collection partners in India. Aside from being responsibly sourced, the bags are all ethically produced. Our partners have employed marginalised women who belong to self-help groups that were offered training by our partners. This opportunity allowed these women to earn a livelihood by working from their homes while attending to their family’s needs.

Denim Sling Bag

For people on the go most of the time, our Denim Sling Bags are perfect for you. Sling it across your body or over your shoulder, you’re up and ready to go where you’re needed. Featuring a pocket on the inside and outside of the bag, a YKK zipper secures the bag’s top, keeping your stuff and other belongings safe and protected. Lovingly handcrafted using denim from different pairs of jeans, the blue hues may vary slightly, giving that added “oomph” as part of its natural denim design.

Denim Tote Bag

Fit everything you need for the day and you’re on your way with our Denim Tote Bag. It’s fashionable and functional, with a beautiful patchwork design that is made from 8 to 10 different pairs of post-consumer jeans. Creativity and skill are greatly displayed in this Denim Tote Bag as different hues are brought together, seamlessly, in a cohesive pattern. The bag uses YKK zippers for its zipped pocket and the bag’s top, ensuring that your belongings are secured.

Denim Bento Bag

Inspired by the Japanese concept of Bento, this bag is completely unique and fashionable. Lightweight and spacious, the bag lets you fit a lot of your belongings inside. What makes this bag great is its self-closing mechanism when worn over the shoulder. Totally convenient! The bag is made from panels out of at least 3 to 4 post-consumer jeans, and its interior is lined with a post-industrial (manufacturer's off-cuts) Kurti (cotton) fabric.
