Leaf Leather

What is Leaf Leather?

Leaf Leather is an innovative, vegan, plant-based leather using fallen leaves.

The material is made from Teak leaves.

These leaves are part of traditional life in Northern Thailand. The young leaves are used to wrap food and the mature, dried leaves, are used as roofing due to their water-resistant quality and naturally tough disposition.

With technology and innovation, the mature, dried leaves are used to create unique, visually stunning bags and accessories.

How is it made?

The process of making these beautiful products starts with collecting fallen leaves from sustainably harvested Teak forests.

They are then soaked in water, dyed and then steamed to make it flexible. After which the leaves are arranged flat together, compressed and bonded onto non-woven fabric.

Finally a translucent, thin layer made from non-toxic film is applied, sealing the leaves, giving it durability, longevity & water-resistance.

From here, depending on the product, the leaf layer is mended with cotton fabric to provide a soft interior backing and structure, ready to be sewn into a variety of products.

Is Leaf Leather durable?

Yes! Don’t be fooled by its delicate appearance, Leaf Leather is surprisingly strong, water-resistant and an incredibly durable and tough material.

It ages beautifully and softens over time.

As with anything, as long as you look after your Leaf Leather products, it will last for years.

How do I take care of Leaf Leather products?

Leaf Leather doesn't need any special cleaning products or conditioning. All you need to do is just give it a wipe with a soft, damp cloth to keep it looking great.

Is Leaf Leather completely vegan and cruelty-free?

Absolutely. Our Leaf Leather is plant-based, cruelty-free and ethically crafted. We are a vegan and cruelty-free brand so rest assured, there are no animal products and there is no animal testing involved in our brand.

Will the colour and pattern on my Leaf Leather product look exactly like the photos?

Not exactly and that’s part of what makes each piece so special. Because we work with real teak leaves, every product has its own natural variations in colour, vein patterns, and texture.

What you receive will be beautifully unique with no two pieces ever the same.

Up-cycled Denim Bags

What does ‘upcycled denim’ mean?

Upcycled denim is made by giving pre-loved jeans and manufacturer's offcuts a second life.

Instead of ending up in landfill, these materials are transformed into one-of-a-kind bags through thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship, reducing waste and extending the life of quality textiles.

How is it made?

Raw materials are received in a multitude of shapes, sizes and colours and they undergo a vigorous washing process to ensure hygiene.

From here, a significant amount of time and effort is spent on sorting and cutting the material into the right shapes and sizes.

Every element in the process is carefully chosen so the end product not only increases life of the material but provides you with a truly unique and authentic bag that has been skilfully hand-crafted and made to last.

Is up-cycled denim sustainable?

Yes, upcycling is one of the most sustainable approaches to fashion. By reusing existing materials, we reduce textile waste, conserve water, and avoid the carbon footprint of producing new fabric.

Each upcycled piece is a small stand against fast fashion and a step toward circular design.

Why choose upcycled over recycled or new denim?

Upcycled denim doesn’t require reprocessing or breaking down the fibres like recycling does, which means it uses less energy and fewer resources.

You're also preserving the fabric’s original texture and strength.

And unlike new denim, which is often water- and chemical-intensive, upcycled denim keeps what already exists in circulation beautifully and meaningfully.

How do I take care of my up-cycled denim bag?

Your up-cycled denim bag is very easy to take care of.

Your denim piece can be gently spot-cleaned with a damp cloth or hand-washed using mild soap in cold water if needed.

Avoid soaking, and allow it to air dry naturally.

Like all things made with care, a little extra love goes a long way.

Organic Cotton Tote Bags

Why choose organic cotton over conventional cotton?

Conventional cotton is one of the most chemically intensive crops on the planet.

Organic cotton uses less water, avoids toxic chemicals, and protects the health of both the environment and the people growing it.

It’s a kinder choice for you and for the planet.

What are the benefits of organic cotton?

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilisers, or genetically modified seeds.

This reduces water pollution, improves soil health, and lowers environmental impact.

It also uses far less water than conventional cotton and is safer for farmers and workers.

For consumers, it’s a breathable, non-toxic and a softer fabric that’s gentle on sensitive skin.

How can I use my Organic Cotton Tote Bag?

Our Organic Cotton Tote Bags have a multitude of uses and have been designed to be as versatile as they are sustainable.

Use yours for everyday errands, grocery shopping, beach days and yoga classes.

When not in use, they fold flat, saving storage space and making it easy to fit into your suitcase when traveling.

How do I take care of my organic cotton tote bag?

Taking care of your organic cotton tote bag is simple.

If needed, cold machine wash, then gently reshape and air dry in the shade.

Avoid bleach, soaking, or tumble drying, as these can damage the natural fibres.

Warm iron inside out if needed.

With mindful care, your tote will stay strong and beautiful for years to come.

What is the print on the organic cotton tote bags?

The beautiful design on your bag is a traditional, 500 year old craft called Hand-Block printing.

This art takes many years to perfect where skilled artisans carve intricate patterns into wooden blocks, then press them by hand onto the fabric using natural dyes.

This slow, mindful process celebrates craftsmanship, preserves cultural heritage, and ensures that each bag carries subtle variations with no two are exactly alike.
